We provide the finest horseback riding trips in Summit County. No more than 14 riders per group! You'll enjoy a true western experience on horseback. You'll be guided through valleys of wildflowers, rivers and forests of Aspens and evergreens. This is the premiere horseback experience in the County. Don't settle for a "pony ride" when you can truly experience horse riding at its best.

  • 1.5 hour rides meet at 9am, 12pm and 3pm
  • 2 hour rides meet at 8:30am and 1:00pm.
  • 3 hour picnic rides meet 8:30am.
Our transportation departs from The Red Buffalo Coffee Shop, 358 Blue River Parkway, Silverthorne, Colorado in the Silverthorne Pavilion.

1.5-hour Daley Ranch Beginner

  • Meeting times at Red Buffalo Coffee Shop  9:00am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm
  • 1.5 hours of riding time  depending on the group.
  • Ages 6 and up (must be able to be at least ponied, pulled along, on their own horse)
  • Limit 14 riders per trip. And don't forget, all kids under 14 receive commemorative cowboy/girl hats, FREE!

2.0 Hour Ruby Ranch Intermediate/Advanced

PRICE: $89-$99 per person

  • Meeting time Red Buffalo 8:30am 1:30pm
  • Around 2.0 hours riding time depending on the group
  • Ages 9 and up with previous riding experience recommended
  • Maximum ride size 12 people

Half-Day | The Picnic Ride | (Intermediate) Highly Recommended! Ages 12+

PRICE: $109-$199 per person

  • $109 May 18 - June 20 August 19 - Oct 31
  • $119 June 21 - August 18 ( in season pricing )
  • Meet time 8:30am Red Buffalo
  • 3 hours riding time depending on size and ability of the group
  • 3.5 - 4 hours total time with lunch
  • Ages 10 and up with previous riding experience

Summer Packing Services for Gear

PRICE: $1,000.00 round trip for the first 2 pack horses then $400 per additional pack

Horse round trip day riders are $139 each way.

Over the years many climbers, hunters, and fishermen have asked us to pack their gear into the wilderness via horse to specific locations into the Gore Range and Williams Fork Mountains, so now were offering this as an exciting new adventure! You give us all of your gear, food, tent, etc. and we'll drop it off in a location of your choice in the Eagles Nest or Ptarmigan Wilderness areas. As long as your request is within our permitted area, we'll make this trip happen for you. Please call and we can tell you if we can provide a trip like this for you to your favorite spot with all the gear you need to spend some serious time in the woods.

Additional Details

For horseback riding we provide rain jackets, helmets for all, lunch on the full day and picnic ride, and transportation from Red Buffalo Coffee Shop in Silverthorne to our ranch and back.
