2 Hour Wildlife Ride $79 Adult $69 Child (beginner/intermediate)
This ride begins from one of our two locations in Silverthorne. We bring you one of our beautifal private ranches where we will go over the basic skills needed for riding in the these rugged Colorado mountains. We will start with a loop ride around one of the 2,000 acre ranches to check out the local wildlife which is often seen. Then were off into the rugged Rocky Mountains for an incredible trail ride over the river and through the woods for a true wilderness experience.
Half Day Wilderness Picnic Ride $99 Adult $89 Child (intermediate)
Let us take you to even more breathtaking scenery on our Half Day Wilderness Picnic Ride. This ride enters either the Ptarmigan or Eagles Nest Wilderness areas. Wilderness areas are special areas designated by the USFS which are off limits to motorized vehicles and offer extremely pristine lands. These rides offer incedible views from much higher elevation than the 2 hour trip.Often we picnic near beds of wildflowers with elk and deer grazing in the distance.
Full Day Ptarmigan Mountain $139 pp (intermediate/advanced)
Have you ever wanted to summit a Colorado peak like the locals do? Well here’s your chance on a horse. This incredible ride takes you atop Summit County’s famous Ptarmigan Mountain. Famous for its incredible wildflowers, views of the Gore and Ten Mile mountain ranges, and abundant wildlife sightings. Travel by horse to 11,300 ft. Summit County’s highest ride! After a short hike we serve up a great lunch and head down the mountain. This ride is for the intermediate rider who wants the most of a day of horseback riding in Colorado.
Adventure Trip! Full Day Horseback, Wilderness Hike, Wilderness Fly-Fishing $259.00 pp
(Intermediate/advanced minimum of 2 people maximum group size 6)
We start this ride from our private ranch in Silverthorne and ride the Gore Range Trail to one of our summer camp locations, tie up the horses and have a great lunch. From this camp it is about a half an hour wilderness hike to a "secret" fishing spot .We will be fishing for Colorado’s famous Cutthroat and Brook trout. On this trip sometimes the hardest thing is taking so many fish off the hook. The scenery while fishing is absolutely incredible. This trip is the only of it's kind in Summit County. Come experience some high terrain fishing.
Summer Pack Services $500 R/T pp (minimum of 2 people)
Over the years many locals have asked us to pack them in via horse to specefic locations in the Gore Range and Williams Fork Mountains, so now were listing this as a trip. You bring your own gear, food, tents, etc. and we'll drop you off in a location of your choice in the Eagles Nest or Ptarmigan Wilderness areas. As long as your request is within our permited area we'll make this trip happen for you. Please call and we can tell you if we can provide a trip for you to your favorite spot with all the gear you need.
Additional Details
For horseback riding we provide rain jackets, helmets, lunch on the full day and picnic ride, and transportation from your hotel to our ranch and back. For the adventure trip we provide the same and also fly rods, waders, flies,etc.
